iPod Earbuds

I don't know about everybody else but whenever I have a pair of headphones they ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS seem to tangle up. It doesn’t matter if they are earbuds or if they are the regular headset type. They always seem to get tangled. I typically prefer earbuds because they are not as loud as headsets, thus they will not disturb the people around you. I have developed my own little way that you might find useful when it comes to keeping your headphones from tangling. This illustration is using the iPod ear buds that came with the iPod.

In this first illustration we see the iPod laying out with the headphones in a mess.

Step 1

Place the headphone connection on top of the back of the iPod approximately a little further than from the middle of the iPod.

Step 2

Flip the iPod over on to its front side and wrap the cord over like such. Then pin the cord down in between the screen and the click wheel.

Step 3

Then, hold the cord in place on both the front and the back and wrap the cord around as such.
If you leave a little bit of slack that will come out towards the screen, it will be useful in the end.

Step 4

Now continue to wrap it as such

Step 5

After you are about to the end of the cord pulll the slack that was left from Step 3 and slip the earbuds into the slack. Make sure they earbuds are secure because if they are loose then the cord will unravel and cause your headphones to tangle.

Final Product

Wow now if you followed the steps correctly and the earbuds are secured tightly then there shouldn’t be any worries of the cords unraveling or the headphones tangling. Here is what my iPod looked like after I finished the steps.
